Admission to the most successful college preparatory high school programs is based on competitive and often complex application processes. Issues can exist in the form of application fees, geographic distance, lack of awareness and standardized test preparation. Additionally, as students transition into these programs, they require advocacy, additional advising, and access to strong peer networks.
E Prep’s High School Placement Program provides workshops and one-on-one counseling on the range of private, catholic and public high school options available. Through this program students and families are assisted through the application process, including financial aid for independent and catholic schools. The High School Placement Program provides students the opportunity for field trips, guest presentations and mock interviewing skills.
In the spring of 2011, E Prep’s eighth grade class gained admission to high schools with explicit college preparatory missions. Students who attend tuition-based schools earned a substantial amount of scholarships and financial aid.
