E Prep Mentoring Program

Support E Prep Students as they transition to high school by becoming a mentor…

E Prep has partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland (BBBS-GC) to offer a one-to-one mentoring program for our graduating 8th graders! As a mentor, you will help guide your mentee through the often difficult transition to high school. You will work directly with BBBS-GC and the E Prep Through College department to help make this transition as smooth as possible for our students. For their 8th grade year, you will meet with your mentee for approximately 4 hrs. each month, once at the school with the other "Bigs" and "Littles" and once somewhere in the community, doing things the two of you enjoy. It is our hope that the relationship will continue during the student’s 9th grade year with more activities and events around the city.

“One thing I can say for sure: it’s very interesting to see things through the eyes of a 13-year-old again!”

- Kathy Lyle

"By far one of the most tangible and meaningful volunteer experiences I have ever encountered"

-         Sandra Bergsten

"Being a Big Brother in the E Prep program has really opened my eyes to what a big difference it can make in a child's life to spend some time with them doing things which seem to be a luxury for them but we take for granted".

-         Sanjay Garg
